Abstract
This Cyber talk will show how AIRBUS Cybersecurity actively participates in Cyber expert trainings (through several methods) and will give some concrete examples of ongoing innovation in Cybersecurity, especially in terms of malware detection and cooperation on thesis and research.
Frédéric Julhes
Managing Director of Airbus Cybersecurity France, Frédéric Julhes began his career in 1989 in the cipher department of THALES, where he was in charge of communication encryption key development projects.
He subsequently took the lead on several Secure Information Systems projects, both Command and Intelligence, for the benefit of national defense.
In 1999, he became Director of Navy Command & Information Systems at Matra Système et Information, which merged to form EADS. From 2001, he developed his export business, in particular with surveillance systems in Latin America.
In 2005, after an MSc in “National Resource Strategy”, obtained at the National Defense University of Washington DC, he became Director of Secure Information Systems (Land and Joint Command and Intelligence) at EADS.
He joined Airbus CyberSecurity in 2011, initially to head the Programs and Sales France & Benelux unit.
He took over as General Manager for France in 2016, and then the European CyberSecurity Programs Department (France, Germany, England) in 2020.

The Cyber CNI Lecture Series is a free monthly event that takes place on the last Wednesday of the month from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
The event consists of a 40-minute expert presentation followed by a 30-minute discussion.
The Cyber CNI Speaker series aims to raise awareness and understanding of cyber security issues among all audiences. It aims to enable an ongoing dialogue between experts from industry and academia and the general public (citizens, families, small and large businesses, public organizations, etc.). All of us are concerned.
The events take place in the Grand Amphithéâtre d’IMT Atlantique in Rennes (Cesson-Sévigné) and will be broadcast live on Youtube (https://talk.cybercni.fr/), allowing worldwide remote participation and including a tool to participate in the discussion.
How the digital transformation is changing our lives
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown all of us the benefits of information technology. It allows us to work at a distance, to live at a distance, and most importantly, to keep in touch at a distance – with younger and older people, those closest to us, and even making new contacts.
Our society relies more and more on information and operational technologies. Examples include water, energy, heat and cooling supply, communications, healthcare, production and processing of goods, transportation, national security, banking, research and education, and food production.
What all these areas have in common is that they make intensive use of networked distributed computer systems. These systems can be attacked in many ways. This is no longer just a problem for computer “pros”, because computer systems are essential to all of us. The effects of “cyber-attacks” range from power outages to the collapse of the health care or banking sectors.

Marc-Oliver is vice president of the German chapter of the ACM. He is also faculty sponsor of the ACM student chapter Munich. He is member of the IEEE-IES Technical Committee on Factory Automation FA4. He is member of ACM, German Chapter of the ACM, IEEE, GI, DHV.
Marc-Oliver does Internet of Things (IoT) research since 2008. His current focus is on security, usability, reliability and resilience (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=_p_lr9EAAAAJ&hl=de&oi=ao).
Marc-Oliver is very active in the research community. He is a regular OC member of the IM/NOMS/CNSM series and associate editor of the International Journal of Network Management. He is a keynote speaker and co-organizer of several other conferences and workshops, panels, and tutorials.
In the past, Marc-Oliver coordinated research projects on all levels from more than 20 international partner EU projects.
For his continuous teaching at university since 2003 he received multiple teaching prices, including the Ernst Otto Fischer prize 2013 of Technical University of Munich for excellence in teaching, and the PhD supervisory award 2020.
